Feeding Soil for Healthy Plants Workshop

Developed by Perennia and the Environmental Farm Plan Program in partnership with THINKFARM, this workshop will help you optimize soil health and soil fertility. This workshop will be more meaningful if you have a recent soil test report for your own farm in hand.

Don’t know how to take a soil sample? Watch these Perennia videos (, see links at the bottom of the page) and drop the samples off at your nearest regional office or directly at the lab in Truro. The cost of analysis per sample for registered farms is $11.89 + HST. Workshop fee: $12+HST

Exploring the New Farm Dream with ThinkFarm

Are you thinking of starting a farm?

Exploring the New Farm Dream will be held in Bible Hill in November and December.

This self-assessment course is designed to help you decide if starting an agri-business is right for you. The course is delivered through four evening sessions (6-9 pm) starting on Thursday, November 28 and the following three Thursday evenings.

Spaces for this course are limited, so you can add your name to the list now by calling Amanda at 893-6575.

Workshop fee: $100+HST
